Required Skills
• You can independently develop and deliver features across the backend and frontend
• You have experience with Java and Spring Boot, alongside familiarity with React and TypeScript
• You actively use AI tools and agents in your development workflow and can explain how they improve your work
• You take ownership of what you build, think critically about solutions and consider their impact on the wider product
• You enjoy sharing ideas, solving problems and collaborating in English
• You bring bachelor’s- or master’s-level thinking
• You ideally have at least three years of relevant development experience; talented engineers with one to two years of experience are also encouraged to apply
• Experience with Hibernate is relevant to the role
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, Docker or RabbitMQ is a plus
• Experience building a SaaS platform or another software product is a plus
• You are available for 32–40 hours per week and can regularly work with the team in Eindhoven
• You are authorized to work in the Netherlands
Key Responsibilities
• Turn customer needs into useful features for guests and hospitality businesses
• Build backend services, APIs and database functionality with Java and Spring Boot
• Develop user interfaces with React and TypeScript
• Take features from technical design through implementation, working across the full stack
• Take responsibility for the quality of your work and resolve issues when they arise
• Use AI tools and agents to support development, explore solutions and improve your workflow
• Discuss technical choices with your colleagues and consider how changes affect the wider platform
• Share your expertise and help the team develop better ways of working

From ordering drinks through a QR code to sending a meal order to the kitchen, Butlaroo connects the guest experience with the systems behind it. Your work becomes part of a product used by hospitality businesses and their guests internationally.
